Wheelchair Basketball Canada is reaching out to athletes across the country. Do you have what it takes to compete at the National Level?
What many people don’t realize is that in many wheelchair sports, you are allowed to participate despite the minimal severity of your injury. Athletes that have blown out knees or wrecked ankles are fully eligible to continue their aspirations in highly competitive sports.
Janet McLachlan is one success story. After two national championships with the University of Victoria Vikes, her career was hampered by a severe knee anjury. She has since gone on to help Team Caada in two Paralympic Games, and is regarded as one of the best in the game.
If you are a competitive athlete with a minimal disability, sound basketball knowledge, the commitment to train at an elite level, and the drive to pursue a career in high performance sport, please be in touch.
