Successful Intro Session Held at Rogers Cup in Toronto

Yesterday, Ontario Wheelchair Sports (OWSA) partnered with Tennis Canada to conduct a successful wheelchair tennis session at the Rogers Cup WTA women’s event at Rexall Centre in Toronto.

Four advanced and two intro players were coached by certified wheelchair tennis coaches in a 90-minute session on the Rexall Centre promotional court.

” We had players of very different levels of play on court,” said Coach Jenn Christie, “but I think we managed to make it fun for all.”

” The rain held off, so that was great,” said OWSA Program Coordinator Carina von Bredow. “Everybody had a blast. A big thank you to our coaches Jenn and Anna as well as to the Tennis Canada volunteers. We even had a few people from the public and Rogers Cup staff jump into chairs to try it out! All in all, a great successful event at Rogers Cup this year!”
