Manitoba Launches Several Great Programs For Fall

It’s becoming clear that Manitoba is where the wheelchair sports action is. MWSA has announced their line-up for Fall and it’s full of great opportunities for beginners and veterans alike. If you’ve been looking for a way to keep active through the upcoming Manitoba winter, check out these excellent options.

Wheelchair Basketball

MWSA’s wheelchair basketball program will run every Tuesday from 7PM to 8PM at the University of Winnipeg Duckworth Center. The program is open to all participants, regardless of age, experience or ability. The program is totally free, so come out for some fun and fitness. Wheelchair Rugby

This Fall, the MWSA & the Winnipeg Wheelchair Rugby Club will host a wheelchair rugby program on Tuesdays and Thursday evenings. The program will take place at the University of Winnipeg Duckworth Center on Tuesdays from 8 – 9:30 pm and Thursdays from 9 to 10:30 pm. If you are interested in meeting a great group of athletes and getting involved with the sport, feel free to join us! If a recreational, drop-in program is more your style, check out the weekend wheelchair rugby rec sessions. Drop in anytime between 1 pm and 3 pm at the University of Winnipeg Duckworth Center to try the sport and play recreational-level games.

Rec Rugby will be hosted on the following Saturdays: October 5, October 19, November 30, and Dec 7th.
