Parasport Quebec Holds Successful Wheelchair Tennis Development Camp in Trois Rivieres, QC

As part of Parasports Quebec’s series of wheelchair tennis development camps, eight players participated in a camp in Trois Rivieres last weekend at the Universite of Trois Rivieres (Les Estacades).

On Saturday, technical and tactical development as well as mobility drills were covered (with a special focus on the backhand slice) by former top Canadian Yann Mathieu, who leads these camps on behalf of Parasports Quebec.

On Sunday, match play in a tournament format was conducted. The final match was between Jean-Francois Sylvestre and Jean-Paul Melo. In a close contest, Sylvestre won 6/4 7/6 (3). In the third place playoff, Kevin Ouellette beat Claude Mongrain 6/2 6/3.
